(ビートルズの成功の影に隠れてしまったが、その後のブリティッシュ・ロック・ムーブメントの先駆者的存在となったバンドの知られざる名曲を集めた注目作。Disc 1 & 2にはこのシーンの代表格とも言えるThe SearchersやBilly J. Kramer With The Dakotas、The Swinging Blue Jeans、The Mojosなどの名曲を始めとして、ローカル・バンドや一発屋による渾身の作品を収録。特筆すべきはプロデューサーのジョー・ミークの「ティー・チェスト・テープス」から新たにマスタリングされた「The Cryin’ Shames - Please Stay」や「The Maracas - A Different Drummer」と言ったお宝音源。そしてシェル・タルミーの金庫から発掘された「The Pathfinders – Lonely Room」という未発表曲や、保存状態の良いアセテートで発見された元バーノンズ・ガールの「Samantha Jones – This Is The Real Thing」、さらに今回初めてリイシューされたThe Dennisons, The Seftons and The Perishersなどの貴重な音源も多数含まれている。更にDisc 3にはマージービート・バブルが崩壊以降に生まれた素晴らしいモッズ、フリークビート、サイケ、マージー・ソウルなどをフィーチャーするなど世界を巻き込んだムーブメントの再評価にも繋がりそうな会心の仕上がりとなっている。Real Must Have!!!)
